~Mini Project-Social Issue Related to Databases~

Today we we're given our first project on databases. In this project I'll be working with Tatjana on the topic of "Credit Card Fraud" and it's relation to databases.
There are six questions to cover and we're going to answer three questions each, so I'm covering questions 1, 3 and 5 and Tatjana is working on question 2, 4 and 6.

1. Provide a definition of your topic.
2. How are databases involved in this topic?
3. Describe the type of data stored about individuals in relation to this topic.
4. Describe some of the ways in which this data can be misused.
5. What are the ethical responsibilities of those maintaining the database?
6. What are the legal responsibilities of those maintaining the database?

The project outline states that the presentation has to be presented in an electronic format and uploaded to the 10 IST share point site. We will be posting up our findings in blog entries as we go on the questions we're covering on our individual blog pages.
We haven't decided on what electronic format we're going to use as our means of presenting our findings but that will soon be decided within the next few lessons and will be announced in our blog entries very soon.
