~Bits and Bytes~

In this activity we referred to this website to help answer the questions;

1. Digit- Any single number between 0-9 and when combined with other digits creates larger numbers.

2. Base 10- The decimal number system which are the number in the powers of 10.

3. Bit- The acronym of "Binary digIT".

4. If 6,357 can be written as;

(6 * 1000) + (3 * 100) + (5 * 10) + (7 * 1) = 6000 + 300 + 50 + 7

How would you write 4,321?

(4 * 1000) + (3 * 100) + (2 * 10) + (1 * 1)

5. Write the following numbers in binary (base 2):
21- 1010124
24- 1100030
30- 11110

6. Byte- Eight bits make one byte.

7. How many bytes in:

Kilo- 1,024
Mega- 1,048,576
Giga- 1,073,741,824
Tera- 1,099,511,627,776
