~Tools for Schools: Google Docs~

Google Docs is an online application where the user is able to create, save, and share files such as documents, spreadsheets, presentations and forms, all of which are compatible with their Microsoft counterparts.

To be able to use Google docs the user must have a google account where their created or uploaded documents can be saved to. The documents can then be "starred" or favourited, or shared with others who have Google Docs or just be opened by the user alone. Google Docs is similar to SkyDrive but can as it can store documents online and share them with others but what differs the two is that in Google Docs the user is able to edit the content online whereas SkyDrive is downloadable content. Google Docs can be seen as having a mix of Evernote and SkyDrive features but all being in the one online application that is accessed anywhere over the internet.

Here are two printscreens on Google Docs. One is of the main menu and the other is an example of a document in edit mode.
